Lisbon Tour Highlights
We will start the tour from your hotel, and visit in the morning the major sights of Lisbon such Belem neighborhood (Belem Tower, Discovery Monument and Jeronimo’s Monastery), built after Vasco da Gama discovery of India, in late 15th century.
After, we will make a stop at the most famous pastry shop in Portugal, founded in 1837.The tour will head towards central Lisbon, admiring the major squares such as Rossio Square and Commerce Square, and all the history behind the Portuguese Inquisition on the 16th Century. During the afternoon and after lunch, we will start from Restauradores Square, and follow up the visit to Lisbon Downtown, admire the narrow streets of Alfama, visit the Lisbon Cathedral, admire views towards the Lisbon Castle (St Jorge), passing by Chiado and some amazing viewpoints.The tour will end with a visit to Parque das Nacoes, the new and modern part of the city, near the Tejo River, that hosted Expo’98, built to celebrate the 500 years of India’s discovery by Vasco da Gama.
